Static mixer K686 are well known in the process industry for mixing, mixing and related applications. This is a device that has a set of fixed, geometric elements placed inside a tubular cylindrical or square body. The liquids to be mixed are fed to one end of the housing. The internal elements cause flow division and fluids are directed both outward and inward due to the geometric shape of the elements.

Thus, radial mixing of the liquids occurs while flowing towards the other end to produce a uniformly mixed desired product. Simultaneous heating or cooling can be carried out using an external casing.

Elements consisting of a set of plates and a body are made of metal or polymer. Used stainless steel and other metals for special applications, polypropylene, PTFE (Teflon), polyvinylidene fluoride (cynar), polyacetal (Delrin), FRP, etc.

In static mixers, incoming materials are mixed solely by redirecting the fluid flow to match the geometry. The only energy required for static mixers is pumping power, which drives the material through the mixer. Static mixers apply the principle of flow separation and its recombination in a geometric sequence. They are also referred to as “no-moving mixers”.
